An annual event for over twenty-five years, celebrates the legendary author’s work and lifestyle. The event comprises literary readings, a short story competition, a museum exhibit, a fishing tournament and the Sloppy Joe’s Look-Alike Contest.

Marathon Events
Annual Pigeon Key Art Festival – usually held in February
Artists and craftspeople are to exhibit their works at Marathon Community Park. The event includes live music and delicious food, and plans call for tours of historic Pigeon Key, a tiny island where Henry Flagler's railroad workers once lived.
